Following one of the most impressive stretches by a team in college hoops this season, Michigan basketball was going to jump up in the polls and bracket projections. We just didn’t know how much after winning the Big Ten title in New York over the weekend.
Now, we know and the jump for Michigan basketball was significant, just like it should have been. In the AP poll, the Wolverines jumped from the 15th ranked team, all the way to No. 7. In the coaches poll, UM went from 13 to seven.
While it’s nice to be ranked in the top 10 of both polls for the first time in a long time, the seeding projections for the NCAA Tournament are what really matters.
