It’s incredible how much has changed for the Michigan basketball team since last weekend. The Wolverines lost their head coach to the NBA and their top commit for 2019 asked out of his scholarship.
On top of Charles Matthews, Ignas Brazdeikis and Jordan Poole all leaving for the NBA, it’s no wonder why CBS sports dropped Michigan basketball out of its preseason top 25 for the 2019-20 season.
It’s easy to see why people would be ready to give up on Michigan. After all, Beilein was the program for the last 12 years, taking a team that hadn’t reached the NCAA tournament in a decade and leading it there nine times in 12 years, including five times to the Sweet 16.
