One day after Michigan basketball secured a commitment from transfer Jaelin Llewellyn, a coveted guard from Princeton, the Wolverines lost point guard Frankie Collins in an eyebrow-raising move indicative of the sport’s modern landscape.
Collins, a rising sophomore, shared his decision to enter the portal on social media.
“I want to give a huge shoutout to the Michigan staff, players, Maize Rage and fans,” Collins wrote on Instagram. “Playing for this university was amazing and I can’t thank you all enough for the love and support.
