WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. — Michigan basketball lost its first five road games this season.
Now, the Wolverines seem to have become road warriors.
U-M won its fourth consecutive road game with a 71-63 victory over Purdue at Mackey Arena on Saturday afternoon.
After a slow start, the Wolverines opened up a 15-point halftime lead and from there, never came close to trailing.
The defense stifled the Boilermakers, while the offense began to bury shots and create wide-open looks at the rim.
The Wolverines were led by Franz Wagner, who scored a career-high 22 points.
