Michigan basketball coach Juwan Howard, just as he has done the past two years, has dipped into the transfer portal to secure a veteran guard.
The Wolverines landed a verbal commitment from Princeton guard Jaelin Llewellyn (6 feet 2, 185 pounds) on Friday after the former four-star recruit visited Ann Arbor this week.
Llewellyn averaged 15.7 points, 4.1 rebounds, 2.5 assists and shot 38.6% from 3-point range for the Tigers last season to earn first-team All-Ivy League honors. Princeton went 23-7 and won the Ivy League regular season title, but lost to Yale in the conference championship game and bowed out in the first round of the NIT.
