It has been a while since the Michigan basketball team played a game on the road. In fact, the last time the Wolverines did it was Dec. 4 but that will change tonight with a trip to Illinois.
The game tonight in Champaign will actually be just the third true road game this season for Michigan basketball, which beat both Villanova and Northwestern away from home. On paper, those teams seem much better than Illinois, which is 0-4 in the Big Ten and 4-11 overall.
However, as I noted yesterday in my pre-game predictions, the Wolverines have lost during their last two trips to Illinois and both defeats came by double digits.
