Michigan basketball coach Juwan Howard has added a new member to his coaching staff.
Former Saint Joseph's coach Phil Martelli has reportedly accepted an offer to join Howard's staff as an assistant coach.
Martelli seemingly announced the news on Twitter on Thursday afternoon.
The news was first reported by Brendan Quinn of The Athletic.
Martelli, 64, was the longtime head coach of the Hawks before his firing in March. He compiled a 444-328 record with seven NCAA Tournament appearances in 24 years with Saint Joseph's.
Martelli's best season came in 2003-04, when he led the Hawks to a No.
