Michigan basketball needs a new head coach and the search for one has picked up of late. Michigan assistant Luke Yaklich interviewed on Friday, Miami Heat assistant coach Juwan Howard is interviewing today, and Providence head coach Ed Cooley interviewed on Monday.
The fit between Cooley and Michigan must not have been a good one, as it was announced on Tuesday that Cooley will be staying put at Providence.
“While it’s very flattering to be considered for other head coaching jobs, after talking with my family I have decided to remain in my hometown of Providence.
