Michigan basketball: DeVante' Jones (concussion protocol) out vs. Colorado State

INDIANAPOLIS — Any chance of Michigan basketball making an NCAA tournament run took a significant hit Wednesday when the school announced point guard DeVante' Jones did not travel with the team and will be unavailable for the matchup with Colorado State.

A team spokesman said Jones is in the concussion protocol and remained in Ann Arbor. The program is hopeful Jones would be able to participate in the Round of 32 if U-M advances. That game, against the winner of Tennessee and Longwood, would be played Saturday at Gainbridge Fieldhouse.

A graduate transfer from Coastal Carolina, Jones came to Michigan for the chance to play in the NCAA tournament after missing out three times with the Chanticleers.
