It wasn’t a major surprise on Thursday night when D.J. Wilson was the only Michigan basketball player to be selected in the NBA Draft. But two of his former teammates, Derrick Walton Jr. and Zak Irvin, are also going to get opportunities to compete in the league.
With reports that Walton will join the Orlando Magic and Irvin will join the Miami Heat, two enormous pillars for the Wolverines in recent seasons will at least have a chance to get a foot in the door and try to fling it open.
MLive.com is reporting that Walton will be playing in the Orlando Pro Summer League, while Land of 10 is reporting that Irvin will play in the Las Vegas Summer League.
