Former Michigan basketball star Moe Wagner made the bold decision to declare for the NBA draft, without an agent following the Wolverines NCAA tournament run.
Some questioned the decision but Thursday night in the 2018 NBA draft, Wagner got the last laugh as the Los Angeles Lakers drafted him in the first round with 25th overall pick.
Wagner became the seventh Michigan basketball player picked in the first round since John Beilein has been the head coach. It also gives UM a player in the first round for the third straight year and in five out of the last six.
