Denton (Texas) Guyer forward Jalen Wilson committed to Michigan last May. He signed with the Wolverines during November's early signing period.

The plan was to play for the Michigan basketball team in the fall.

Then John Beilein left for the Cleveland Cavaliers and the NBA.

Wilson announced Thursday that he has asked Michigan for a release from his letter of intent and will re-open his recruitment.
