Caris LeVert hasn’t been on the floor for the Michigan Wolverines in 13 of their last 14 games, and despite not being ready to play on Wednesday against Northwestern, John Beilein says they’re not shutting down the senior’s season.
LeVert told Beilein at Tuesday’s practice that he had some discomfort and wouldn’t be participating, but he still remains optimistic about an eventual return.
“We should plan on going forward that he’s not going to play until he’s ready to play again,” Beilein said Tuesday. “You might ask the question, ‘(Why not) shut him down?’ But he wants to play so much that we’re going to give him every opportunity to play.
