In a bit of unexpected news on Tuesday morning, the Michigan Wolverines announced that Caris LeVert is being shut down for the remainder of his senior season and will focus on getting healthy after suffering a lower left leg injury against Illinois on Dec. 30.
“After some prayer and talking it over with my family, Coach Beilein and the medical staff, we all feel it is best for me to concentrate on getting fully healthy,” said LeVert, according to a press release. “There is still some discomfort that does not allow me to help this team the way I want.
