Losing Derrick Walton Jr. will hurt Michigan basketball, though the loss of Zak Irvin will be just as painful. However, one player that could potentially fill Irvin’s shoes is Pittsburgh transfer Cam Johnson.
The 6-8 guard averaged 11.9 points, 4.5 rebounds and two assists per game for the Panthers last season. He is also a rare graduate transfer that has two years of eligibility remaining.
According to MLive, Beilien visited the prospect Sunday evening and had a productive conversation.
“I like what he had to say,” Johnson said to MLive soon after “I really enjoyed it.
