It was ugly at first.
And then Michigan basketball settled down and began making shots, cruising to a 70-50 win over Elon at Crisler Center on Friday night.
After an uneven first-half performance that allowed the Phoenix (2-2) to hang around, the Wolverines got a boost from David DeJulius, who scored eight points and grabbed eight rebounds, leading Michigan into the half with a 31-22 lead.
Then, the Wolverines began the second half with a 14-6 run, extending the lead to 17.
Michigan (3-0) had four players reach double figures, led by center Jon Teske with 16 points.
