A horrific first-half performance was too much to overcome, as the Michigan Wolverines were outplayed in every facet of the game en route to a 79-62 loss to the Michigan State Spartans on Sunday at the Breslin Center.
Dusty May’s team was outmatched from the opening tip off as Michigan State played with more focus and intensity. Despite playing much better in the second half, Michigan committed 15 turnovers and was outrebounded 39-30 in the loss.
It was an awful way for the Wolverines to wrap up the regular season, falling to 22-9 overall and 14-6 in Big Ten play.
