Michigan basketball assistant coach involved in rollover crash

VAN BUREN TOWNSHIP, MI - A University of Michigan assistant basketball coach was involved in a single vehicle crash shortly after his return to the state after the team's run for the national championship.

Saddi Washington and his family were involved in the crash on the afternoon of Tuesday, April 3, team spokesman Tom Wywrot confirmed.

"Everybody is fine and heading to the facility," he said. "We're thankful and blessed as it could have been worse."

Police were called about 3 p.m. to a reported single-vehicle rollover crash with no injuries on westbound Ecorse Road, near Denton Road and the Willow Run Airport, Van Buren Township Police Deputy Director Jason Wright confirmed in an email.
