The Michigan basketball team found its first commitment for the class of 2020.
Turns out John Beilein and the Wolverines didn’t have to look far.
Maumee (Ohio) Valley Country Day guard Zeb Jackson announced his commitment to Michigan in a video released Tuesday.
A 4-star prospect ranked No. 66 in the nation and No. 2 in Ohio by the 247Sports Composite for 2020, Jackson plays on an AAU team coached by Quincy Simpson, the father of Michigan point guard Zavier Simpson.
Jackson, 6-foot-2 and 160 pounds, held offers from a range of programs, including Ohio State, Michigan State, Purdue and Virginia.
