Michigan basketball‘s new assistant, Phil Martelli, is one of the most beloved coaches in Saint Joesph’s history and he is most certainly the winningest. His dedication to the sport and school began in 1985 when he was hired on as an assistant for the Hawks.
Fast forward ten years and he was honored to become the 14th head coach of the Saint Joesph’s basketball team, where he remained for another honorable 24 years.
