When it comes to college hoops, there are still few rivalries that are as good as Michigan basketball and Indiana.
The rivalry between the Hoosiers and Wolverines isn’t a rivalry in the same sense of Michigan-Michigan State or Michigan and Ohio State. It’s just one of those classic matchups that have given us plenty of great games over the years.
Of course, the most well-known meeting was in 1976 when the Hoosiers beat Michigan basketball for the national championship as Bob Knight and Indiana finished off that incredible perfect season.
But as far as the current Indiana squad, it’s one that’s fighting to get into the NCAA tournament, just like the Wolverines.
