The 2019 Michigan baseball team is embarking of their 153rd season. Baseball is the longest running sport in Ann Arbor. Gone is the youth from last season. Now a more polished team is set to take the field. One that has it’s eyeing big things.
This season Michigan returns 24 players to the diamond. It will also feature 11 new faces. Starting pitchers Tommy Henry and Karl Kauffmann, anchor a very solid rotation. The Wolverines return over half of their offense. Making this seasons team veteran loaded.
The Wolverines return sophomore center fielder Jesse Franklin, a Freshman All-American as well as senior second baseman Ako Thomas who is as good as they get at the top of the batting lineup.
