Riding a two-game winning streak, the Michigan baseball team was looking to climb the Big Ten standings in its final home series of the 2024 season. The Wolverines played host to Purdue, one of the better teams in the conference, for three games over the weekend.
On Friday night, the game started off as a pitcher’s duel, as the teams went scoreless through the first six innings. Purdue finally got on the board in the seventh inning on a Keenan Spence two-run homer. Mike Bolton Jr. would also drive in a run on a single to give the Boilermakers a 3-0 advantage.
