The Michigan baseball team was left out of the NCAA tournament a year ago. And after losing out in the Big Ten tournament with a 1-2 record, the Wolverines have left their fate again up to the selection committee.
However, with a 42-15 overall record, a 16-8 mark in the Big Ten, which was good enough for second, a No. 16 overall ranking and an RPI of 36, Michigan baseball is a strong bet to make the field of 64.
Of course, nothing is guaranteed. A win over Indiana certainly would have helped the cause. But still, Baseball America, in ts most recent projection, has the Wolverines making it.
