CHAMPAIGN, Illinois -- The Illinois Fighting Illini trailed by five runs after the fifth inning, but came all the way back to defeat the Michigan Wolverines 11-7 on Friday at Illinois Field.
Sophomore Jake Bivens got the Wolverines on the board with a two-out walk, which eventually allowed him to score off the bat of Cody Bruder. The senior knocked a two-RBI double to left field scoring Bivens and Ako Thomas. Drew Lugbauer earned a walk of his own and was scored on an infield error off the bat of Harrison Wenson to give the Wolverines a 3-0 lead.
