Michigan athletics reports 13 positive COVID-19 tests this week

Michigan's athletic department recorded 13 positive COVID-19 test results between Oct. 24-30, the university reported Friday afternoon in its weekly update.

Eleven of the positive tests were from student-athletes, and two were from staff members. A total of 1,712 individuals were tested.

The numbers are lower than last week's, when the department reported a single-week high for COVID-19 cases with 26 positive test results between student-athletes (25) and staff (1).

Since the department began testing, there have been 15,762 total tests administered with 148 positive tests — 133 from student-athlete tests, 15 from staff members.
