Michigan's athletic department announced Friday that it received 11 positive test results for COVID-19 this week, all from student-athletes, as all activities remain paused due to an outbreak of the B.1.1.7 COVID variant that originated within the department.
The number of positive tests is down from last week, when the Wolverines had 22 student-athletes test positive.
Michigan says it administered 3,215 tests between Jan. 23-29. In total, 43,882 tests have been administered to student-athletes, coaches and staff members, with 293 total positive tests (265 from student-athletes, 28 from coaches and staffers).
