ANN ARBOR -- The worst kept secret over the last few days is finally over.
Jim McElwain is, indeed, joining the Michigan football coaching staff.
The school made the announcement in a Tuesday afternoon news release, saying the 55-year-old McElwain has signed on to be the team's wide receivers coach.
"I am excited to work with this offensive staff and and coach Harbaugh," McElwain said in the release.
"There are a lot of great offensive minds in that coaching room, and I look forward to learning from them."
