CORVALLIS, Ore. — Nothing like some free passes to turn around a baseball game.
Cincinnati issued four walks and hit a batter as Michigan sent 11 hitters to the plate during a five-run sixth inning, wiping out a three-run deficit and propelling the Wolverines to a 10-4 victory in the NCAA Regional Tournament on Saturday night.
As a result, Michigan (43-18) advanced to the regional final, where it will meet the winner of Cincinnati vs. Creighton on Sunday at 6 p.m. PST. The Wolverines need one more win to wrap up the regional title and secure a spot in the super regionals for the first time in 12 years.
