Ann Arbor — Michigan quarterback Jake Rudock apparently has not been physically limited during practice this week since taking a hit that sidelined him late in the Minnesota game last Saturday.
Backup Wilton Speight entered the game and led Michigan to the eventual game-winning score.
Michigan offensive coordinator Tim Drevno said Wednesday before practice that he “absolutely” expects Rudock to play on Saturday against Rutgers.
“He was good yesterday,” Drevno said Wednesday before practice. “He’s out there throwing and running around. He looks good, he really does.”
Drevno also said lead tailback De’Veon Smith, who was limping last Saturday at Minnesota and earlier this season missed the Big Ten opener while recovering from a right ankle sprain, practiced on Tuesday.
