Ann Arbor – At first, he thought the home crowd at Michigan Stadium was booing.
“Booooooooooooooo!” That’s what Eddie McDoom heard during Michigan’s season opener when he touched the ball.
And then, it made sense.
They were saying, “Dooooooooooooom!”
“That’s pretty sick,” McDoom, the freshman receiver from Florida, said Tuesday night after practice, about when he realized what the fans were saying. “It’s crazy.”
As far as names go, Michigan tight end Jake Butt has had much made of his throughout his career.
“Jake Butt’s a sweet name – ‘Y’all, my name is Butt,’” McDoom said.
