The Mid-American Conference canceled its football season. For a moment, Saturday afternoon, when a report broke that Big Ten commissioner Kevin Warren favored a spring football season and that league presidents were meeting, it looked like that conference would be next.
It didn’t happen.
So, what is the Big Ten waiting for?
Besides a miracle? More time.
Time to save face, to make it look like the member schools have exhausted every possibility — and every angle — of how to hold a season this fall.
