Michigan played like a team with its NCAA Tournament hopes on the line Friday in the quarterfinals of the Big Ten tournament, and playing Indiana tight all game, the Wolverines got a miracle from an unlikely star.
With the game tied at 69 and the clock ticking away, sophomore Kam Chatman hit a 3-pointer from the corner to give Michigan a 72-69 victory.
The win moves the Wolverines into the tournament semifinals where they will face the winner of Purdue and Illinois, and puts them in solid position to earn an NCAA tournament bid.
Zak Irvin led Michigan with 17 points while Muhammad-Ali Abdur Rahkman had 15 with Duncan Robinson and Mark Donnal scoring 12 each.
