COLLEGE PARK, Md. -- For nearly 10 minutes Saturday inside the Xfinity Center, a competitive basketball game was taking place. It was hard to remember by the final horn, but a 3-pointer by Maryland's Kevin Huerter with 10:48 left cut Michigan's lead to 20-15. The fans in red still had reason to believe they'd go home happy on Senior Day. Ten minutes of game time later, Maryland became the latest team to get trampled by Michigan's stampede towards March.
Jaaron Simmons started the brutally efficient run with a confident 3-pointer. He'd later find Moritz Wagner with a bounce pass that snuck under a defender's outstretched leg.
