Madison, Wis. — Michigan found itself in an all-too-familiar situation.
With under five minutes to play in Tuesday night’s matchup at the Kohl Center, Michigan chopped a 12-point deficit down to one against Wisconsin, setting the stage for another tight finish.
This time, the Wolverines managed to find a new way to lose a close game. Due to a combination of missed shots, bricked free throws and poor defensive rebounding, the late comeback bid fell short and Michigan added another chapter to its maddening season with a 64-59 loss.
“I expected it was going to be one of these games where you had to come in, bring your hard hat and try to win the muscle areas.
