With the 2019 NFL Draft in the rear view mirror, the focus for NFL teams now shifts to signing undrafted free agents. As was the case for several former Michigan Wolverines, they went off the UDFA market pretty quick.
Running back Karan Higdon was quick to announce he would be joining the Houston Texans. According to Higdon’s Instagram story, teams were “hesitant” to draft him due to his surgery.
Personally, I believe a team should have drafted Higdon in one of the later rounds. He was reliable his junior and senior seasons at Michigan, and the later rounds are when you take chances on guys like Higdon who may have recently suffered an injury or had a surgery.
