When Michigan basketball coach Juwan Howard talked to Burlington (N.J.) Camden forward Lance Ware for the first time over the phone, Howard told Ware that he’d be watching him play at the Nike EYBL Peach Jam in North Augusta, South Carolina.
It was a short phone call. Howard bid Ware good luck, and told him he’d be in contact after the tournament.
On Monday night, Howard reached back out. This time, his phone call came with a scholarship offer for the class of 2020 prospect.
