Kornacki: Wolverines Play on Tilted Field in Saturday Victory

ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- They ran to daylight, for first downs, touchdowns and right down the throats of Penn State's defenders.

Michigan's tailbacks -- led by 107 yards and one touchdown on only 12 carries from senior De'Veon Smith -- ran behind a veteran offensive line that quite simply wore down the Nittany Lions in Saturday's (Sept. 24) 49-10 victory.

The No. 4 Wolverines (4-0, 1-0 Big Ten) hadn't been dominant on the ground since their season-opening, 60-point win over Hawaii that featured 306 yards and four touchdowns on the ground.
