ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- Mount Evans, with an elevation of over 14,000 feet, provides a majestic backdrop to the city of Denver. It's the highest summit of the peaks in the Front Range of the Rocky Mountains and provides quite a challenge for climbers.

University of Michigan linebacker Ben Gedeon decided to go for it this summer along with teammates Jake Butt, Patrick Kugler and Henry Poggi.
"We went out to Colorado and climbed a couple fourteeners -- which was awesome," Gedeon said of the 58 peaks in the state of at least 14,000 feet that attract climbers.
