Spring football aside, Kinnick Stadium won't host a football game until September.
But that doesn't mean one of college football's newest (and best) traditions can't live on during the offseason.
The "Kinnick Wave" occurred at the end of every first quarter, when fans would wave at University of Iowa Stead Family Children's Hospital, recognizing the patients and their families. The Hawkeyes and opposing teams joined in as the season went on.
Thursday, the grounds crew did its part.
