King trying to get UM to raise Fab Five banners

Jimmy King, a member of Michigan's famed "Fab Five," said this week he is working with the university to put together a roundtable to discuss getting his teams' banners back up at Crisler Center.

This fall will mark the 25th anniversary of the five freshman -- King, Chris Webber, Jalen Rose, Juwan Howard and Ray Jackson -- arriving on campus.

The team went to NCAA Tournament championship games as freshmen and sophomores, losing both games.

Most wins from those teams, though, were vacated because of the Ed Martin scandal, and the banners, as documented in ESPN's "30 for 30" series, are rolled up in storage.
