Key players projected to opt out as Michigan meets Alabama in the ReliaQuest Bowl

There are several notable players from both teams that could decide to opt out of the Michigan Wolverines’ matchup against the Alabama Crimson Tide in the ReliaQuest Bowl on New Year’s Eve.

Defensive tackle Mason Graham and cornerback Will Johnson declared for the 2025 NFL Draft earlier this week, so it’s anticipated neither will play.

Graham and Johnson aren’t the only ones expected to opt out of the game. Here are some others that may follow suit, categorized by their likelihood of not playing.
