The Michigan Wolverines defeated the Minnesota Golden Gophers by three points on Saturday, and while it didn’t seem like it at the time, one play in the first half greatly helped the Wolverines win the game.
Michigan led 7-0 in the second quarter when it forced a punt on Minnesota’s own 19 yard line. As punter Mark Crawford fielded the snap, edge rusher Kechaun Bennett snuck around the offensive line and had a free lane to the punter.
