ANN ARBOR - Katelynn Flaherty recently passed Glen Rice for the most points in Michigan history, and her record continues to climb.
The senior guard scored 26 points to lead the Wolverines to a 74-48 victory over Michigan State on Tuesday at Crisler Arena. They have won five straight and are ranked No. 16 in the latest Associated Press poll, their highest ranking since Dec. 24, 2001.
Flaherty, who passed Rice's record of 2,442 points on Jan. 13 against Nebraska, is up to 2,531 career points. She also broke the Michigan women's scoring record earlier this season, passing Diane Dietz's mark of 2,076 points.
