Junior receiver Eddie McDoom has left the Michigan football team.
Michigan football spokesman Dave Ablauf confirmed Wednesday evening that McDoom has "decided to leave the team." The Wolverine Lounge first reported the news.
McDoom, whose name delighted Michigan fans — they'd chant, "Dooooooom" when he'd touch the ball — had 16 catches for 140 yards and 24 rushing attempts for 203 yards during his career.
This is the second departure from Michigan in the past week. Tight end Tyrone Wheatley Jr. left last Thursday, a day before camp opened. He will play for Stony Brook this fall.
