Three Michigan football players make the watch list for The Bednarik Award.
Defensive end Chris Wormley, safety/linebacker Jabrill Peppers and corner back Jourdan Lewis have been placed on the 2016 Bednarik Award watch list.
The award is given to the top defensive player in the nation.
Peppers, who will be a junior in the classroom and a redshirt sophomore on the field, logged 45 tackles and 10 passes swatted away. He ran 18 time for two touchdowns, had eight receptions, eight kick returns and 17 punt returns. From Paramus Catholic High School in New Jersey, Peppers will make the switch from safety to linebacker for the 2016 season.
