When Josaiah Stewart arrived at Michigan last year, it was quite the change.
Stewart spent his first two seasons at Coastal Carolina, and making the jump to the Big Ten was a pretty big adjustment from playing in the Sun Belt. Among the many disparities he saw, the emphasis and prevalence of stopping the run game stood out the most.
“The run part of it kind of surprised me,” Stewart told the local media earlier this week. “Back in the Sun Belt they weren’t running the ball as much, but just having that physical aspect of the game, implementing it into my own game.
