Jordan Poole can still shoot, and he has some new tricks

ANN ARBOR -- It wasn't his five 3-pointers or his fancy reverse layup or his one-handed bounce pass assist. What made Jordan Poole's Michigan coaches most proud on Saturday was a defensive play that wasn't credited in the box score.

It was midway through the second half and Michigan had a rare defensive breakdown, botching a pick-and-roll coverage that allowed Purdue's Evan Boudreaux a clear path to the hoop. Poole, from the weak side, moved across the lane. When Boudreaux rose for a layup, Poole jumped, arms in the air, and contested the shot, forcing Boudreax to double-clutch and miss.
