If not for Charles Matthews, Michigan wouldn't be headed to the Final Four.
Matthews has played so well during the Wolverines' NCAA Tournament run -- and especially in Los Angeles -- that even his old coach took notice.
In a classy move, John Calipari offered some congratulations to Matthews for being named the West Region's Most Outstanding Player. Matthews had a team-high 17 points and some clutch plays down the stretch against Florida State on Saturday night.
Very happy for @1CMatthews for being named the West Region's most outstanding player and making the Final Four.
