ANN ARBOR -- John Beilein's new contract with the University of Michigan will pay him $3.8 million per year through at least the 2022-23 season.
MLive Media Group obtained a copy of Beilein's new deal, announced earlier this week, which includes a $400,000-a-year salary and continued retirement contributions to the tune of $1.5 million.
While those figures remain unchanged from the men's basketball coach's previous contract, Beilein now stands to make $1.9 million in additional compensation: "University-related promotional activities, sponsorships, television, radio, internet, shoe and/or apparel sponsorships, and other services."
Beilein signed the new contract on June 28, 2018, with Michigan athletic director following on July 10 and University of Michigan President Mark Schlissel on July 12.
